Walk safely to school day 2022

On Friday 20th of May, the students, families and teachers at High Wycombe Primary School were joined with the local police to participate in the National Walk Safely to School Day. On this day all students were encouraged to walk safely to school with their families. It was a community event seeking to promote road safety, health, public transport and the environment.

The students and community of way over a hundred were very excited to be escorted to school on this day by mounted police and police cars. Some even saying it was their best day ever! Every student that attended school on the day received a stick-on tattoo promoting the Walk Safely to School logo.

High Wycombe Primary School is a Mentally Healthy School and aims to promote the Act, Belong, Commit campaign. This campaign encourages people to take action to improve and protect their mental health and wellbeing by getting active, becoming connected to people and their community and committing to a cause or learning something new.
