Walk safely to school day 2025

On Friday the 16th of May 2025, the students, families and teachers at High Wycombe Primary School were joined by Forrestfield Police Station Officers in the Walk Safely to School Day dedicated to the memory of our wonderful community police officer Senior Constable Bevan O'Donnell APM
Approximately 150 people including students, staff, parents and community members

Our amazing P&C provided a breakfast of mini muffins and fruit as the students entered the school.

Every student who walked to school on the day received a temporary tattoo promoting the Walk Safely to School logo.

This annual campaign encourages all primary school children, their parents, and their carers to walk safely and regularly to school. The event promotes road safety, health, public transport and the environment.
Encouraging kids to be active each day establishes good habits that can stay with them throughout their lives.

High Wycombe Primary School is a Mentally Healthy School and aims to promote the Act, Belong, Commit and Your Move campaigns.
