Maths

At High Wycombe Primary, School our Maths program is based on the W.A. Curriculum and focuses on developing each student's knowledge, understanding and skills in Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry, and Statistics and Probability. H.W.P.S follow the I Do, We Do, You Do model to introduce new concepts, ensuring all students can achieve success by continuously checking for understanding.  This newly learnt content is then reviewed on a regular basis in what is called a 'daily review'.

We use a range of evidence-based programs, learning strategies and resources to address the three content strands: Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry and Statistics and Probability. We also have a strong focus on reasoning and problems solving which is evident through the use of the PRIME Maths program. Our programs include:
